From my experience verizon lte 4g and 5g home internet devices have limited wifi range. Using a wifi extender just adds complications and more likely problems. What I do is turn off the wifi on the verizon device and add my own router. This turns the verizon device into a modem basically by connecting it to the routers wan port.Edg1.
