Generally, the Pentair heater stops heating due to one or more reasons like Bad or damaged temperature sensors, the incorrect temperature setting of the thermostat, and bad internal bypass, blocked filter or pump basket, ignition malfunctions from the pilot lit, undersized pool heater, or severe defects on the heater elements.
Press the Pool (P) button to activate the filter pump, rotate the pool/spa valve actuators and circulate the pool water and switch on the heater (if enabled in the Heat menu).
