GSG 1911/22 problem. My GSG seems to have one nagging problem, failure to go into battery. I've checked and what is holding it open, that fraction of an inch, is the extractor. It hits the face of the extractor slot, and stops the slide just short of battery. If I just put my thumb on back of slide it goes into place easily.Rimfire. I love my Sig Mosquito which is exactly the same and rebranded as the GSG Firefly.:bthumb: No problems with any .22LR HV ammo. No FTE or FTF's. Accurate enough for range plinking. A quick search leads me to believe the GSG warranty is better than what Sig was offering when produced for them. A warning to note.

Mar 28, 2021 · The 1st shot of the Armscor caused the problem, not a case of fouling causing it to jam like it did requiring a rod to clear it from the muzzle end, and the barrel needing to be replaced. Just lucky that GSG and American Tactical stood behind their products so well.

Changed over to CCI MiniMags, copper plated, round nose, 1235 fps and the gun eat thru it pretty much. Out of 100 rounds I had 7 failures to fire, they all seemed to load and eject fine. It could have been: (1) ammo, (2) velocity of the ammo, (3) one of two magazines, or (4) the gun itself.
