Born and raised in Iran, Morehshin Allahyari is a new-media artist and activist who has lived in the United States since 2007. Her work uses 3D scanners and printers as tools to investigate and re-appropriate tradition, narrative and objectification.The Maker Commons is housed in Penn State’s Pattee Library and positioned so every student will have access to the lab. Students across all of Penn State’s locations are also able to send projects to the 3D printers via makercommons.psu.edu.
