I have it lined up with the half circle and I have the right sized punch but it will not budge. The gun is in excellant shape so i'm positive rust is not stopping it from coming out. Once I take the a5 out I can run about 25 shells through it with no problems. After this usually it fails to eject about every two shots, then gets to the point where every shot fails and you have to eject the shells manually. For shooters having problems with post 2012 A5 ejecting,extracting. Browning has a new bolt head and extractor. This is a new design got it from Mid West Gun works the part # B1182200A7 and it's cheaper than original. Gun works now no problems. The original bolt extractor has been discontinued.

In taking the gun apart, none of the springs are broken and upon replacing the trigger spring, it still will not reset. If the autoloader will shoot shells light enough (especially an inertial like the K-5 (it really SHOULD BE the K-5, Kinematic 5, because it ain't an Auto-5)) to suit you for clays and dove, it'll hammer you crosseyed with 3 1/2"ers on geese. It won't eject fired shells and when you manually eject... the next shell feeds but the one in line afterwards dumps out the bottom. I was able to disassemble the gun and cleaned and oiled it well but it didn't help much.Mine does like the Federals and reloads at a solid 1200 fps. Shot it for a year as is, and shot it extremely well one of the best handling guns I own. Even though it is not a clays gun at 6 lbs. handles fantastic and recoil with 1 oz. loads is almost non existent. And I am recoil sensitive.Don't do it. I may catch a lot of flak for this but the Browning A5's made in the last 10-12 years have been horrible. After removing, notice the spring assembly so that you put back the pieces properly. Remove the spring assembly and clean. I got the gun for a song because it never functioned correctly. Always make certain that your firearm is not dropped from the stand, or dropped while it is being taken up or down from the stand. Remember, a loaded firearm may discharge when dropped, even with the “safety” in the on safe position. 8.
