Oil level low the relay is activated and the power to the starter is interrupted. There are special instructions to remove the oil level switch from the engine without damage.

In a short time its gone from being able to shift in to 3rd gear 1/2 way to the left to 3rd gear 3/4 way to the left. The diode is in the wire from the stator. There are two wires one to the lights one to charge. They travel in a plastic sleeve from the engine to a connector. The diode is back inside that sleeve (see pic) You should have 14.5 or more volts when running. Posted April 26, 2015. One of the stator leads should have a diode after it comes out of the tinwork and usually right before a connector that mates with the tractor harness. Wire with diode goes to the battery. Wire without the diode goes to the light circuit only. Garry.Bypass the PTO switch. If that doesn't fix it, bypass the clutch switch. Once you have determined which switch is the culprit, hook the other switch back up and make sure it still works. Then get some new switches and correct the problem properly.
