I would guess that performance might depend on your specific firearm, and the specific box of ammo you're using. (Edit - One reference I checked shows .380 rim thickness as 0.045", and 9mm Luger rim thickness as 0.050". Is their an issue with Ruger Security 9. My gun jams constantly. I sent it in to Ruger to have it fixed. They did some work on it and said it worked perfectly. I let someone else shoot it and it jammed with him also. I've only tried two types of ammo in it. Wondering if it is an ammo issue or defect with the gun.Today was the first time I got a chance to shoot the Security 9 after the three upgrades. I ended up getting a Ruger Security-9 to go with my PC Carbine. Took it out yesterday and after 2 mags I starting having problems! 1. Last round hold back would not work on 1 of the mags, not that big of a deal. 2. When slide is locked to the back and I insert a full mag the slide lock will not disengage when pulling back on slide and releasing.
