Hey guys, recently painted my mates 63 pontiac. Being his first ever project, he purchashed ice blue nason full-thane. Sprayed it on sunday, came up alright for a metallic, a little streaky. I never used Nason paints before, but I just sprayed a truck with a white single stage Nason “Ful-thane”. I applied two good coats per mixed per instructions. Paint cured up very fast even at about 55-60 degrees with a medium temp reducer. It had slight orange peel, which bugged me, so I took some 600 to it the next day.Ive used nason ful-base and ful-thane on a few cars Ive owned. But I have never owned them longer then 2 years. Most I sold before 1 year. I painted my 91 vette with nason a little over 1 year ago and it has held up nice. To be fair, You are not the only one to have nason fail after a few years. Just got done spraying red Nason 2k Ful-thane single stage for the first time. I have some orange peel here and there along with some dirt in the hood. I have color sanded Centari and Delstar, but I am not sure how to tackle this with this newfangled urethane. Im seriously thinking about using it when I do my truck. you can even get it in Flat, Semigloss, or regular gloss. RM's Uno is good also, I like the way it lays down, & it seems to last.

I have used different clear on it with no ill effects. Each painter has his own methods for cutting and buffing.
