Harrim is fine but he's really more of a healer/support type who's less fragile than Tristian, who's a paper bag. The main issue with Harrim isn't that he's bad, but other characters can do specific things better. Tristian is a better healer, Val is a better tank, Amiri does better melee damage, etc. #1. Octavia makes a good arcane trickster and does silly damage that way due to how stealth attacks are implemented as well as being a good buff bot. In kingmaker you could buy 5 of them for 2,500g at lvl 1. You can literaly play with mercenaries only from the begining to end. I paid over a million gold for a merc.
