Most of the composit stocks I've seen on M1A rifles are injection molded plastic. They are adequate. Not great. the wood stock works but the truth is a wooden stock on these guns needs to be glass bedded for best accuracy as the wood under the trigger guard will compress over time and the gun will get loose in the stock.
