LCP is not striker fired. It is hammer fired. Putting that aside, If you're going to carry it pocket, get the LCP, if you're going to IWB, get the EC9. On the other hand, the old hammer fired LC9 had a reputation for great reliability. I have one of the old ones with no failures.

The Max-9 looks like Ruger’s attempt to cash on on the higher round count micro 9mm market, like the Sig P365 and the Springfield Hellcat. I’m very satisfied with my EC9S, but saw the Max-9 on display today, and it looks good. Those big sights though, looked pretty big for a pistol that might be carried in a pocket.
