Before you start to adjust the tension bolt, by hand rotate the secondary clutch forward a bit to remove any slack on the back side of the chain. Loosen the tension bolt completely and make sure threads are clean. Turn in the bolt just by finger until you start to feel tension. As soon as you feel any resistance, back off about 1/4 turn.
