So on the ES and AT models, apparently there is a switch next to the reverse cable lever that grounds when the reverse lever is pulled, and unless that switch grounds, the ECU won't let the thing shift into reverse. If you're going to take your atv swimming, you would minimize the likelihood of a problem by staying with a manual foot shift. Honda doesn't recommend taking your atv in deep water.

It doesnt have the friction modifiers that regular car oils have that cause clutch slippage.
