A coworker used FDE Cerakote and his has noticeable wear marks. BTW, I believe Cerakote is likely the strongest of the paint type finishes. If you are looking for a factory gun, try to find out what they use. Sig may be the toughest for an FDE gun. My understanding is they use a hard anodizing on their "scorpion" models.
