I was 4 cm at 36 weeks and made it to 38 weeks (and could have made it longer probably). I was actually 2 cm, 80% effaced at 26 weeks. I was put on bed rest until 36 weeks, so the situation was a little different. But even without bed rest after 36 weeks (and already 4 cm dilated), I made it another 2 weeks. November 18, 2023 | by mckenna1. Got admitted to L&D at 4pm yesterday with full blown contractions 1.5 minutes apart. Went from 1 cm dilated 0% effaced to 4 cm dilated and 70% effaced in 4 hours. Then everything came to a halt and I only dilated .5, 11 hours later.

I was 70% and 1.5 at 36 & 37 weeks... then 80% and 3cm at 38, 39, and 40 weeks. I was induced at 40w 3d, and had no cervadil. Had a pit drip and an epi, followed by a c/s due to Charles not descending. I was 1cm dilated, 25% effaced two days ago... no clue it that means much!
