Posted December 10, 2012. Just installed a 434 kit onto a DRZ400. Sea level, stock cams, carb and exhaust. What jetting changes need to be made? Havent done the 3x3 mod yet, but can if needed. Was thinking 3x3, bump the 22.5 pilot to a 25 and adjust the main jet to a 150? Trying to leave the stock needle if possible.Lunch of champions: CARBS.I like to be prepared. I agree it takes 10 minutes or less to pull the carb on the DRZ. It probably takes an extra minute for me to pivot the subframe. I'm not saying it's necessary.

Take a tie down strap and run it from the subframe to the handlebars. Cinch it up snug. Yes, clearly a second vent hose. Just like the vent on the left, it does not connect to anything. Just an open hose to vent the bowl to atmospheric pressure. The 2 hoses interconnect internally. Even the later Mikuni carbs with 1 vent hose interconnect to two passages internally. The variations on something as simple as a bowl vent is amazing.
