In the spirit of fairness, I think that Force missiles should also be made to be book accurate. Let me post the 3.5 spell compendium description as follows. Strimtom routinely gets from 1-20 on hardcore (so a new character) in a day. My best for 1-20 (without an Otto's Box) is 7 days, though my average is about a month. Apart from Strimtom's splits, other options include: Cleric or FvS 12 for level 6 spells, Divine Might, and other class bonuses. Wizard 12 for level 6 spells and Pale Master undead form for survivability. Rogue 12 for a ton of sneak attacks: 6d6 base + 3d6 Improved Sneak Attack epic feat + whatever Assassin enhancements you can squeeze in.
