Yes. Yes because you now need the full set to get poison nova. I recommend wear just the widow chest piece and the broodmother helmet and leggings. The helmet gives better defense while the rest of the widow armor set is the same defense/resistance as the broodmothers. And the chest piece gives the biggest poison+ buff.

The chances of it applying may stack but stacking more venom damage, no. It's a chance to apply and does not stack damage wise. But it's a separate instance of coating than poison coating so it does more over all. Add the mom genes mutation and use a widow dagger with assassin and you're proccing a lot of dot damage fast.
