Steam ships the deck fedex home delivery...those drivers don't actually work for fedex. What they do is bid the routes out and whoever comes in the lowest gets the route. Its hard to notice because they still drive fedex trucks and wear fedex uniforms but if you look on the truck it should have something like JR's trucking or XPV delviery.

There might be some sort of serial number, but I don't see how it would be remotely read. The only number that would be unique to OP's individual Steam Deck is MAC address but those are a) not guaranteed to be unique b) easily changed.
