But what I haven't heard with any degree of certainty is what each trader specializes in, and how that changes things. They restock every 3 days by default in the XML. As to the questions of what triggers the start of that timer. I have not tested that. My best guess would say they don't start their timer until they actually exist (i.e. the region and chunk they are in have loaded at least once by coming close to, or active visiting)..

I figured out a great way to do this by appending the White River Settlement quest to all the treasure map quests. You did X number of Tier 1 quests from one trader, then that trader would give you a "Special" quest to establish a trade route, where you would find a new trader that would offer Tier 2 quests. This continued up to Tier 5 or whatever and made sense.So, mistakes were made, debris is now littering over the road and the nearby trader prevents any cleanup. On a dedicated server.
